Brouwerij vandeStreek

The Netherlands

"We brew what we like, not necessarily within the boundaries of pre-defined beer styles."

VandeStreek is not just a name that’s made up for this craft brewery in Utrecht. It actually happens to be the last name of Sander and Ronald, two brothers in beer. Believe it or not, but this means literally ‘from the area, local’ in Dutch. After having brewed on a small scale for a number of years, they decided the time had come to introduce their beers to the rest of the Netherlands (and the world). Nowadays they are the owners of a real proper brewery.

They brew what they like, not necessarily within the boundaries of pre-defined beer styles. This makes the beers very diverse. The focus is on taste and flavours, not so much on the alcohol.

Brouwerij Kaapse Brouwers

Brouwerij Kaapse Brouwers

The general thought was that no one would come to Katendrecht for good drinks and good food, as it is a part of Rotterdam with a rough past. Now craft brewery and brewpub Kaapse Brouwers and the Fenix Food Factory are a major tourist attraction that draws quite a crowd, especially in the weekends.
